Airline cabin luggage sizes, measured our way
Airlines measure a case including its wheels and handles. So do we: every figure below is taken from the product tag on the case itself, which is why some of our own ranges appear here as a No.
The two allowances that matter for a cabin case in the UK are Ryanair 55 x 40 x 20 cm and the larger 56 x 45 x 25 cm used by British Airways, and by easyJet for its large cabin bag. Ryanair is the tighter of the two, mostly on depth.

Six of our ranges do not meet the Ryanair allowance and we would rather say so here than have you find out at the gate. If Ryanair is the airline you fly most, choose one of the ranges marked Yes in that column.
A note on other airlines
Jet2, TUI, Wizz Air and others publish their own allowances and change them from time to time. We do not list them because we have not measured our cases against every published limit, and a table we cannot stand behind is worse than no table. Please confirm with your airline before you travel.
