Hollom Pebbled Genuine Leather Card Holder with Snap Strap

The Hollom carries cards, and that is all it sets out to do. It opens on a fold along its bottom edge, like a book, and each leaf holds three stepped card slots along its outer edge. Six card slots in all, three in each half. RFID blocking is built in, so contactless cards cannot be scanned while they are inside.

Each stack of slots is backed by a plain pebbled panel that runs unbroken to the centre fold, and that panel is the deepest pocket of the stack. The ends of the stack step back one behind the other, so each side reads as a staircase of leather lips.

It shuts with a strap

One leather strap, rounded at the tip, is rooted in the middle of the back face inside a small stitched box. From there it crosses the back card lips, wraps over the top edge and comes down the front to snap onto a domed silver toned stud on the centreline. The bottom fold is left smooth and completely unstitched.

Genuine leather throughout

Heavily pebbled leather outside, and the lining is the same leather in the same colour and the same pebble grain. There is no fabric lining anywhere. The hinge is a softer, smoother leather band. Every edge is turned and topstitched and stands slightly proud.

What it does not have

No coin pocket, no zip, no ID window, no note bay and no plain slip pocket. No logo, no wordmark and no metal nameplate on the leather either, so the faces stay plain.

Two finishes

Dark Brown is a deep espresso that reads near black except in raking light, sewn with a caramel tan contrast thread on every seam and along the strap, with the turned edges and the strap edge burnished a redder plum brown. Black is sewn tonal black throughout, with nothing tan or caramel on it anywhere. Side by side the leather colours sit close together, so the thread is the quickest way to tell the two apart.

Closed it measures 10 by 9 cm and 1.5 cm thick.
